A thought for Christmas Eve ...

I was looking at my FAVORITE weight loss blog, and reading some comments on Lyn's most recent entry. ANONYMOUS left this comment and I thought "how true, how true." So I thought I'd post it here:

Losing weight is hard. Gaining weight is hard. Maintaining is hard. Pick your hard.

I need to say this over & over again when I'm whining about how HARD it is to lose weight. I'm also going to have this saying tatoo'd, backwards, on my forehead.

Amy Hempel! Merry Christmas! It is after one in the morning and I wanted to be the first one to wish you peace, happiness and contentment on this holy day that we celebrate the Savior's birth!

Amy I want to TRY to express how much I appreciate your friendship with the few brain cells that are awake.

Do you know how much I enjoy you and our time together? I don't have the words to express exactly how well I like you...or how much I appreciate everything you do for me and many others around you! You are one of the most generous and CARING people I know. When you know some one is struggling you take action.

Amy, I am so proud of you and the obstacles you have overcome since coming to Klamath Falls, OR! You are opening up and letting people in! Yeah, that chip on your shoulder is, gone! Your character is outstanding! When you decide to do something you follow thru...your weight loss is look so hot! Your honesty is a treasure...(most of the time) he he! You are doing so many good things in life right now that I am happy to tag along.

IN short...I adore you and am blessed to have you and Eric as friends! You two are a great team and I know the Carter's and the Hempel's are going to have a great future together! How fun is that?

So this year for Christmas I give you my Heart (yeah I know sounds like a song by Wham) but got it. I just wanted to share this with you because you can't possibly realize how much I truly care about you! Thank you Amy and Merry Christmas with all my love and best wishes for you and your family in this new year! You are an inspiration to me and come January...We are going to have a blast dropping the weight and toning the muscles!

Your friend...forever...yeah you are stuck with me thru thick and there you have it! I'll take my brain cells to bed now...hope this make sense in the morning...teeehhheee

Amy...thank you for your kind comments on my blog! I also wanted to say CONGRATS on a great week and for having the courage or strength to step on the scale at your meeting when you really didn't want to. I have been there many times but always make myself get on :-)
