Eric encourages every idea I bring to him, without hesitation. And when I came to him with the idea of having give-aways on my blog, he thought it was brilliant. He would do anything I asked him to do if he thought it would motivate me or make me happy.
Tonight we went to dinner on the beach, just the two of us. We were reminiscing about our years together- when we dated & how we came to be married. I said that I couldn't believe it's been 13 years and what would it be like to be married for... THIRTY years...? And without missing a beat, my husband said "being married for thirty years wouldn't be any different then the last 13 years because it's all been so easy, with you." And he's right. I'm thankful for my life with my husband each and every day and I know my children are so blessed to have such a wonderful father and role model. I simply couldn't ask for more.
Happy Father's Day, Dr. Hempel. I love you more then my iPhone. And that's saying something.

Awww...that was really sweet. It brought a tear to my eye. Isn't it great to have a love like that?

You do have it pretty great, Amy. Eric's a catch. But he did just as great. Your talents and generousity and strength are infinite. Together, you two are a force to be reckoned with.
I'm so glad to know your whole family.
sweet.
