New year... New pictures... New measurements...

Okay, Okay- it's been a while since I've posted pictures. I'm not talking about my day to day pictures... These are the HOT pictures where I'm wearing inappropriately short shorts and a sleeveless top. (understand that there is nothing sleeveless in my wardrobe- even if I was a size 2- it's not happening. Armpits should be covered at all times. Seriously.) You know... things I would NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD WEARING IN PUBLIC but will publish on the World Wide Web. But I do it for you, Internet. Because I want YOU to see how much a person can transform in 5 months if they put their mind to it, quit eating total crap on a daily basis, and washing that crap down with cold "regular" Cokes. So here we go...

Bust Shots: There was a time when I would look at pics of myself and be sick about how fat my face was. Now I can critique myself on a whole new level. For instance, after living with my hair for a week or so I've come to the conclusion that I'm not digging it, so much. It'll grow. We're just not going that short again. However I AM admiring the lovely arch in my brow that is enhanced by my last Botox treatment. Boy, that Dr. Hempel does an amazing job with the injectables. (shameless plug for Aspen Family Medicine & Aesthetics)

Okay... full front shots. I see 1) less boobs. Not a bad thing but let me tell you that once I've lost all of the weight I want to, Mrs. Hempel is going to get those guys jacked UP. I'm through with the "38-longs." 2) legs are looking a LOT better. 3) nice that I can put my arms back down to my sides. 4) What a long, pretty neck!

Side view: Wow. I've lost a LOT of stomach. I still have work to do in this area & I'm hoping my skin will continue to retract. Whenever I meet someone who has lost weight, I want to ask them "do you have a lot of extra skin??" But then I stop myself because every body is different so, regardless, their experience will be different from mine. I will say I have been surprised at how much the skin below my belly button has retracted. I hope to see it continue to shrink but when this is all said & done, I'll pay someone to take the rest away. The back: a LOT less wide. My arms are smaller and I continue to be pleased with the size of my legs. I have always had "veiny" looking legs & I feel like that has gotten better since losing weight. I also have lost a lot of the cellulite from the backs of my thighs since working out.

When I started losing weight I was a size 22. Today I went shopping for a new pair of pants and I easily fit into a 14. My beginning weight was 244 - I weighed in 4 days ago at 190. I have been working out with Nikki Crawford since December 8th, 2008. Here are my measurements from 12/8/08 to 1/29/09 (hope you can follow the way I've listed the numbers- the one on the left is the original number & the one after the "/" is the current measurement) :

Neck 14.5 / 14.5 (I've already lost 3" since August so that's cool), Shoulders 45. / 44.5, Chest 43.75 / 42.0, Abdominal 39. / 38.5, waist (50" when I started losing weight...) 37. / 36.1, hips 45.5 / 44.9, biceps (L) 13.25 / 12.5 (R) 13.5 / 12.7, forearms (L) 9.8 / 9.7 (R) 9.2 / 9.5, thighs (L) 25 / 23.9 (R) 24.8 / 23, calves (L) 15.5 / 15.75 (R) 15.75 / 16.0

I have given you all so much personal information that if I had a psychopath Internet stalker, they could make an "Amy doll" to complete perfection. At least, at this point, they'd use less materials. I'm ALWAYS thinking about the environment.

I've thought about that same thing too. What if there's some crazy internet stalker person out there making look-alike's of me?! The Internet is a razy thing!
Your pictures are amazing! You're doing great!

Nice collar bones, Amy. You didn't mention them, but the jump out at me! As for the haircut, I DO like it. I was just thinking maybe I should do something like that with my hair and then I read that you don't like it. I think it shows off the nice slimmer neck and jawline you are sporting. You have done a spectacular job and you look fantastic!

I can't believe your not diggin' your hair! I love it! I think short hair makes some people look even thinner. I think it does that for you. Your before and after shots are amazing! You gotta be proud of that!

Gorgeous pictures. You really look phenomenal. Isn't it a great feeling - especially on days where you don't feel like you are progressing - to look back and see just how far you've come? Congratulation on your hard work.

Amy, you look amazing! I'm so impressed. Also, I cannot believe how grown up your kids are. They were so little when I left...which I guess was a while ago...but still!!

Might I add that you seriously look like you've dropped YEARS off of your face? You honestly look 15 years younger!!! It's amazing!

And I agree with the above poster, I like your short hair! I think it makes you look thinner and spunkier. ;o) But I understand how it is...I always want short hair, and when I finally go through with it, I HATE it. Go figure. ;o)

I've got one more pound to go to be out of the 190's too! Maybe we can enter into the awesome 80's together this week. ;o)

OH MY GOODNESS!!! You look amazing!!! I'm so motivated after seeing your pictures! We just ended the Belly Buster with the radio station...as you know, I kept all the stats...I didn't realize until separating the girls from the guys and their stats how well I actually did!

I can't wait to get down to 190...I still have a long ways to go...but if you can do it...SO CAN I! :)
