This used to be easy.

HELLO Bloggers! My dear husband told me that one of his patients had a complaint today. About me. Not blogging.

AND LUCKY FOR YOU, WHOEVER YOU ARE, THERE ARE HIPPA LAWS THAT PREVENT HIM FROM TELLING ME WHO IS RATTING ME OUT.

Blogging is like losing weight. When it's going well- it's easy to get on the computer & preach it to the world. When you're not doing so well... ya wanna hide in a hole, eat mini peanut butter cups, and shop on ebay. (or have you checked out etsy.com? LOVE that site!)

I feel fat.

I have not been to the gym in 5 days.

I'm sick and so are my kids.

It's spring break which takes me from my workout routine. (WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO DO THIS SUMMER?)

I put my size 14 jeans on today and they were not comfortable. A little tight, I admit.

I'm scared.

Okay. Now that that's all out there... I've come clean. Why is it so hard to keep the motivation? What is it about MY brain that makes it so hard to pass up sweets? Humph.

Here's the GOOD news... First of all- TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY. I may have shared this before but I remember hearing an analogy about gaining weight being compared to getting a flat tire. If you get a flat tire do you get out of the car & slash the other three tires? NO! You fix it and keep on going! So that's what I'm going to do... (details in a moment)
.
MORE GOOD NEWS: I am only going to openly post about this once so PAY ATTENTION: I'm now, officially, a working woman. I am the new leader of the Tuesday Weight Watchers meeting here in Klamath Falls! (you're the first to know, Internet.) I just found out today! And WW's prefers that we don't discuss their program, as an employee, on our personal blogs SOOOOooo I may make comments about "my meeting" or something like THAT but I won't be calling out the company. (I'm not sure why I am not allowed to mention WW's on here... I'll see if I can find out more & get back to that one.) Regardless~ WOW. I think this is what I need to (sorry but I can't find any better words) pull my head out of my ass and get back to work. I'm a LEADER now, right? People are going to be LOOKING at me! I've got to set a good example & practice what I preach!!!
.
So... that's it for today. I've come clean. I did not go to WW's today because my little chicken, Lauren, has been quite sick & she needed me to take care of her. And I now have a version of her affliction that I am tending to. I'm giving myself a pardon today from weighing in and am going to CORRECT this situation this week so that next week when I go to "my meeting" and they announce that I am the new leader, I can hold my head up (with a little less chin) and accept the new position.
.
And I'm going to blog more. Promise. Thanks for sticking with me...

How fantastic that you are a new WW leader! I've always thought that must be a fantastic way to stay motivated and on track. I bet you'll be an incredible leader!!

It's always hard to be sick, to have sick family members, and to fall out of a routine. It's natural to want the comfort of old things when we're feeling vulnerable. It's good to "come clean" and now maybe come up with some creative problem solving around unstructured times like school vacations, etc. When you're sick, take it easy on yourself... and also think of sweet "substitutes" you can have around to help you through, like sugar free hard candies or those little WW coffee cream things.

You have made such progress, you will definitely get back on track!

Thanks for the comment~ we just woke up and my daughter said "what are we going to do today" and I said "we're going to START our day by taking mommy to the GYM! Doesn't that sound FUN?" I received a "no." But I can assure you... having a fit, HAPPY mommy is more fun then a bloated, out of shape one... right??? : )

And I need to be more openminded with the SUGARFREE treats. (the 9 year old in my head always says "eeeeuuuuuwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" when I hear the words SUGAR FREE) If you know if anything that's especially tolerable, let me know! : )
