Weight Watchers Monday Fa La La La La Laaaaaaa La La La La

Sorry for the LAME cell phone picture today... I can't remember where I put my Canon. All I can remember is that I set it somewhere it doesn't belong. Anyone else do things like that?

So I went to WW's today & changes are afoot. Our WONDERFUL AMAZING SWEET KIND SINCERE leader Kathy announced that after 4.5 years she is stepping down. SO many people were sharing stories about how she had inspired them as they were sobbing (of course I would NEVER cry at something like that... okay... maybe just a tiny bit...) and Kathy was also emotional. I had to break the ice so I announced to the group that after the meeting we were all going over to Cold Stone Creamery to drown our sorrows. After Kathy broke the news she said that we need a new leader for our group.

Here's where it gets interesting...

Several people suggested that I should lead the group! And others in the room turned around in their seats to back up the idea. ME??? REALLY??? I was so flattered! The district rep was also in the meeting & asked me to stay afterwards with one other person who was also interested in sharing the position. I told her that my husband is a physician who has a weight loss program and SHE SAID SHE WAS ALREADY AWARE OF THAT (I guess they have been talking about me?) and she'd have to see if it would be considered a conflict.

Regardless of what happens- I'm touched. And thrilled. A year ago, I was on my way to weighing 250 pounds. Today I am being considered for a leadership position with Weight Watchers. What a difference 6 months can make!

I should also report that I lost .6 pounds bringing me back into the 180's. I should pray to get this little jobbie so that MAYBE I'll be re-inspired to work the rest of this weight off! I'll be sure to keep you posted!

Wow, that is amazing!! Congratulations!! Now I'm not clear on how this exactly works, but I thought one had to be a Lifetime member (at goal weight for 8 weeks?) in order to be a leader. But maybe that's just in our area. Anyway, I keep hoping that one day I could do the same thing; it would certainly motivate one to keep going!

I REALLY hope you get the job; you could bring such inspiration to people.

You have motivated many in the blogging world and I'm sure your success has been inspirational to those at your WW group as well. You'd be awesome!

And, yes, I lose my camera all the time. I found it in my glass cupboard just the other day. Isn't that where you store yours?

How GREAT! I'm so excited for your new adventure... if you accept and it isn't a conflict of interest. You truly are an inspiration and will do wonderful things with the WW group of the position is given to you! Have a great time on your mini-vacation!

Hey, congrats and good luck. In the past you had to be a life time member to be a leader so that would be awesome if you could do it! I would love you as our leader. Actually I have really considered going back to Tuesdays...but it's soooo hard with my schedule. Good job getting back on track....I have two weeks I want to maintain then I get to gain....what a bummer. But it's all good!

Thanks for your thoughts! And I agree... I have always heard that you have to be a "lifetime" member to lead a group. I guess when you're in a small town, like we are, and options are limited they'll take who they can get!!! I haven't heard anything, yet, but I'll be sure to keep you all posted! XO! Amy
