Day Five: OUR FIRST GIVE-AWAY!!! Enter NOW!!

TODAY... My mother in law is on her way from La Grande to spend some time with us, Lauren's baptism is tomorrow and I have a million things to do... The house needs to be cleaned, I have to cook dinner tonight for my wonderful mother in law, I need to go to the grocery store and have not started my list. I got dressed to go to the gym and didn't quite make it. And that's okay - - I'll go to the gym tomorrow morning and still complete my "5 days a week" goal. But - - for today - - I'm giving away a...

ZUMBA FITNESS TOTAL BODY TRANSFORMATION DVD SET! This set comes with 4 DVDs that include 6 work outs, some maraca-like toning sticks, a "cardio party" work out, and a "flat abs" work out.

I don't know about your town but around here, Zumba is ALL the rage! My friend and personal trainer, Nikki Crawford, teaches a Zumba class that is a LOT of fun- even for those of us who are categorized as "uncoordinated white girls."

HERE ARE THE RULES:

In order to enter the contest, you need to reply to this thread by letting me know:
What ACTIVITY are you doing this weekend to raise your heart rate?
(please avoid any "TMI" scenarios.)

Please, only one entry per person.

Entries will be counted through noon, on Saturday, June 12, 2010.

Winners will be chosen by a random drawing (via one of the Hempel children) from all entries.

The winner will be announced on this blog Monday, June 14th, once he or she has been notified.

THANKS!! This will be FUN and enjoy your Friday!! Off to do the chores...

Amy, I have enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks for giving me hope that I can get back into shape. I am on day 3 of working out. I will be at the gym tomorrow walking, maybe a little running if my legs don't give out on me.

I will be running and trying to figure out how I miscalculated my miles along the bike trail behind my house. Tae Bo is also in my future for Sunday.

Oh, I've always wanted to try Zumba!

I have a duathlon on Sunday (2mi run, 10mi bike, 2 mi run) that I'll be doing and I'm hoping to go to the gym tomorrow to do a little swimming too. :)

Hey there! I love your blog...you are a very witty writer. In any case, tomorrow I will be doing a 12 mile bike ride. But if the weather doesn't hold out, I will head to my MMA gym and do an hour kickboxing class followed by an hour of CrossFit. The other BIG thing that'll be raising my heart rate this weekend is that on Sunday I'll arrive at Fitness Ridge for my 2 week stay...very nervous!

I found your blog by a comment you left on Jillian Michaels' post and have to say that after reading your blog, I am feeling more motivated again. I lost 20 pounds between February and the end of March then somehow lost my drive. It's time to keep going because I still have 75 pounds to go! Anyhow, I would LOVE to try Zumba! I am going to do Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout at least once this weekend, plus will be doing some walking outdoors.

Well being out of town it is always hard to stay motivated, and since my mother-in-law is the best cook ever it makes it even harder. Thursday we ran through Portland, should have been a walk, but it was raining so hard it was more of a run. So today I talked my husband into walking with me. Saturday weather permitted we are planning a great excursion on the beach, running walking and frolicking around like kids.

Keep up the great work Amy, and thanks for the motivation.

Way to go Amy!
My plan for the weekend, started today with plenty of up and down hikes in and out of the lava caves. I could feel my poor out of shape heart pumpin'!. We are heading out on the boat on Sunday and I am hoping to be dropped off to hike the shoreline for some exercise too. :)
