Day three: Flowers & Buggs...

This is not how you wear a BodyBugg. However, when you are three and you want your mother's attention and she has the box, paperwork, packaging, and brochures laying all over her bed from HER new toy... you will do what it takes to make her LOOK. Like, becoming a BodyBugg pirate. And demanding that your picture is taken.

I'm SO EXCITED to have a BodyBugg. I first heard about them while watching The Biggest Loser. All of the contestants wear them & I had to know what THAT was about. With the BodyBugg system, you can register your appliance online & log what you eat during the day. (I have N-E-V-E-R recorded my food so I'm looking forward to having an incentive to be better about this.) The BodyBugg has sensors that monitor how many calories you burn each day, 24-hours per day, with a 90% accuracy. So if you enter what you're eating each day (which you don't HAVE to do but it only makes sense to keep track) you'll know how many calories you've taken in & how many you've burned. People even wear them through the night because you do burn calories while you sleep. So far, the only problem I've had is I CAN'T GET THE WEBSITE TO COOPERATE WITH ME ON THE REGISTRATION. But don't let that deter you... I'm not the sharpest stick in the box. Eric is going to take care of the registration, for me, when the kids go to bed. Once I'm able to register & use the BodyBugg for a few days, I'll come back on here & give you an official "RebuildingAmy Review."

Today I went to the gym and worked out for an hour on the elliptical. I think it's funny how some times I work out and hardly sweat a drop and then other days I'm sweating BUCKETS. Today was a "sweating buckets" day... and I'd like to say that I prefer to sweat. It makes me feel like I have accomplished more. Like.... "LOOK AT ME! I'm alllllllll SWEATY. WANNA HUG?"

My accomplishment for the day... Our next door neighbors (who I ADORE) were kind enough to let Corbin come over and help with their weeding this afternoon. Lauren is my independent child- she can play in the dirt all by herself for hours. So, after having another sleepless/coughing night last night, a nap was sounding pretty good around 3:30. But then I remembered the geraniums I had purchased this morning that needed to be placed in their pots so I invited Lauren to give me a hand. We had a nice time working in the dirt together and talking about plants, roots, and flowers. I'm glad I skipped the nap...

Be sure to tune in tomorrow... I'm not 100% sure yet but I ***might*** skip the gym in the morning. IF I DO... there will be a give-away tomorrow! However, if I end up going to the gym... you'll be left to mutter the word "tease" at your computer, turn it off, and go outside to plant some flowers.

But for now, I'll keep you in suspense. (still being a tease.)

LOVE IT !!!!Biggest Loser is one of my favorite shows. Bob once said something I have never ever forgotten. Women who "cheat" on the diet say I will start again next week. BOB saya start again right after youu cheat on the night meal - had a donut for breakfast than have a salad for lunch never give up !!!! So that's my little plug of the day !!! Did measurements today something I have never kept track of and in 30 days 2 1/2" inches from waist. Seeing that helped alot as it may not alwaya be pounds.
THANKS AMY for always being there to help keep us going :):):)

biggest loser is my favorite! I hope you will keep us updated on how you like the body bugg! I have wanted to get one, but held off, they are spendy little bugs! haha!

Also, Have you looked at myfitnesspal.com?
It has a daily check-in, as well as a measurement tracker, and a blog button that shows progress! I love it...i just need to use it more often.

Sure the giveaway would be nice but DON'T skip the gym. You've been doing great.

What a great picture.

I don't have a bodybugg but I have a fitbit and it does the same thing. I wanted the bugg but it's so much money and then you have to pay for the online service, too. With the fitbit, you don't pay for anything online.

I guess I'll go to water aerobics tonight. I had decided that I didn't want to go because I was tired from mowing, but I have plenty of time to rest until then. Thanks for keeping me motivated.

I am anxious to see how you like the bodybugg. I keep thinking about getting one, wondering if it is really worth it.

Keep up the great work!

Corbin cannot help but be adorable and manly. Love him!
Don't skip. Don't skip. Don't skip. Don't skip. Go to the gym! It's not too late. Take walk, chase Sissy... do something! You have it in you!
And I can't wait to see what the bodybugg does for you. I loved it when they got them on the show and always wondered what all they could track. I didn't realize it could sense calories burned so closely. I'm going to have to check that out sinc eI have misplaced my Polar heart rate monitor which I used to help.
Oh... my girls are screaming at each other. Have to go!

I am sure we can find a trail to count as exercise. It doesn't always have to be the gym!!!

Logging food has been such an eye opener for me! And I keep forgetting just how important it is. Beforehand, I would think there's NO way I'm taking in the 2,000 cals it takes to keep me at my weight. But sure enough, even while making great food choices, I still found my cals higher than I thought. Good luck with your food logging - it's a pain, but worth it!
